Doors 18.45 / Start 19.15

For this first edition of Film Without Image, we’re listening to two works by Academy Award-nominated composer Mica Levi: Under the Skin (2014) and Monos (2019).

Known for their surreal film scores, Levi blurs the boundary between music and sound design. Their music becomes intertwined with the film’s DNA, becoming an integral part of how the story is experienced.

Rotterdam-based film director and film nerd Roel van Beek will guide you through an evening of audio-based storytelling. Just Felix will close the evening with a DJ set composed of his favourite soundscapes.

Just Felix is a Brit living in the Netherlands. Bringing some of his eclectic selections to the Rotterdam airwaves on his monthly operator radio show. He is also part of Orse Audio, a soundsystem collective that sees speakers as creators of space, shaped by sound and performance, for the communities that bring them to life.
